Meghalaya( Abode of Clouds)
A state situated in the north eastern part of India. It is known as the wettest place in the world due to its rainfall records. | 7 Sisters Falls - Cheerapunji |
Sohra (Cheerapunji): is about 60 km's south of Shillong, Cheerapunji holds the second highest rainfall record in a year after Mawsyram. It is surrounded by lush and diverse vegetation and forests. Cherrapunji has very beautiful and charming waterfalls, such as the 7 Sisters Falls and Nohkalikai falls. The double root bridge in Mawsyram is famous among the tourists and is naturally made of tree roots. Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest waterfall in India. This wonderful waterfall is falling from the height of 1115 Feet (340 Mtr).
